Americans consume petroleum products at a rate of three-and-a-half gallons of oil and more than 250 cubic feet of natural gas per day each! But, as shown here, petroleum is not just used for fuel.  Now, If you are against gasoline for cars and want the government to make us all take Amtrak,  are you also against toothpaste?   Contact lenses?  I’m sure all the girls on Facebook use them for modeling purposes, if they wear glasses.  Guys, football, come on.  So when you oppose drilling, do you want the Saudis to determine our existence????  I love tennis.  So, assuming this is correct,  it’s really not about the gas we put in our cars.  It’s about a whole lot more.  But, it is always about the gas we put in our cars.  Obama has proposed a boatload of light rail projects, Amtrak like projects, and a lot more.   Why, so we will take train to work instead of driving?? Good luck with that.  I don’t know about you, maybe it works in NYC, a relatively compact piece of ground, but for me, I really don’t want to have to get up 1 1/2 hours early to take a train.  I’ll bet you don’t want to do so either.  It really is another attempt by your government to control your life.  You know,  I have to have back surgery soon.  You  know what really bothers me?  The loss of control for however long the surgery takes.  I don’t want you or anyone else telling me how to live my life.  I choose the surgery,  so I choose to lose the control for however long it takes.  With your government, they want to mandate control, whether you like it or  not.   More to come.  At some point I will attempt to tie all of this together.
